I have significant decalcification from not taking care of my teeth when I had braces as a little kid. Can I and should I get my teeth bleached?

I would not recommend bleaching if you have decalcification as often this arises in white spots on your teeth and the whitening will make this much more obvious – whitening works by affecting the enamel and dentine less so – your better off looking at veneers in my experience – see a dentist and first get there opinion on it
