Do you know what causes dark spots in the gum? I\’ve just noticed a single dark spot (purplish/black) in my upper gum above my lateral incisor. There\’s no pain or discomfort otherwise. There\’s been no dental work ever done in this area (i.e., fillings, etc.) I\’m a healthy, non-smoking 25 yo male.

Dark spots usually occur naturally
They can sometimes be treated with surgery but I usually leave them
I will advise you to visit the dentist to confirm this
