Is it a Dental Migraine or Dental Headache?
Date: July 6, 2011 Richard Jones

If you are one of the countless migraine sufferers who have done almost anything and everything possible to alleviate the symptoms to no avail, then you might be suffering from a dental migraine. A lot of people don’t realize that their migraines may have a connection to dental problems, which can be addressed with a dental checkup followed by various dental treatments.

Dental migraine can result from dental problems or issues in the jaw area. A dentist can thoroughly check for any damage or infections in the teeth and jaw area to determine if the patient is indeed suffering from dental migraine issues. One of the most common causes of dental migraine concerns the jaw area – the temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ disorder), which can be brought about by stress, improper teeth alignment, poor posture and teeth grinding. Infections in the jaw and teeth areas can also lead to dental migraines.

Are you suffering from migraines that seem to have mysterious causes and/or triggers? Get in touch with your dentist now and have yourself checked for a dental migraine – your blinding migraine may just be a dental checkup away!
