The Challenge of Having Chipped Teeth
Date: March 21, 2011 Richard Jones

The brightness of your smiles will be lessened when you have chipped teeth – especially when the chipped teeth are in an area where they can easily be seen when you speak or smile. However, chipped teeth can easily be remedied with a number of dental procedures or dental treatments, and will not necessarily lead to missing teeth.

Chipped teeth are mostly the results of accidents (trauma) to the face or mouth area. Unsightly chipped teeth can be addressed with any of the following dental treatments (depending on the severity of the chipped teeth): enamel shaping, dental veneers, dental bonding or filling, dental crowns or dental implants.

It is best to deal with chipped teeth in the soonest possible time – before the chip or damage gets bigger, and before you feel the need to refrain from smiling altogether just to hide the chipped teeth from the world.
